Life Story:
He was born and raised in Quetzaltenango. He was studying at the Catholic seminary to become a priest when he met his current wife, who was already an evangelical Christian. They became friends and fell in love, so he left the seminary and enrolled in university. They later got engaged and married in the Baptist Church, where his wife, sister-in-law, and mother-in-law were the first members, contributing to its foundation. Shortly thereafter, he had a personal encounter with Jesus, so he studied at the Bible seminary. When the head pastor left the church to serve in another country, he was elected to temporarily replace him, and after several interruptions, he served as the main pastor of that church. He has been married for 56 years and has three children.
